BRIEF: Macnicol & Co. had moved into a new building and needed a new sign. The design they received from the signwriter did not meet their expectations so they approached us for an alternative design.
THE SOLUTION: It became apparent that what they really wanted was to freshen up their entire brand in order to get the signage they desired. We began by creating a simple, professional-looking text-based logo. They we produced digital headers and footers (top of visual above) for all correspondence coming from their computers. Then we designed business cards, a notepad and a website. Finally, we designed and coordinated the production of the new signage for the building (next page).
While not perhaps being the usual way we get a brief and plan a rebrand, this job clearly demonstrates the modern design needs of a client – business cards, website, digital logos/headers for computer stationery, and signage.2
