BRIEF: Mahurangi Oysters Ltd wanted to become more professional in their direct marketing of their oysters, and for that they needed a logo, stationery (printed and digital) and a website.
THE SOLUTION: We developed a stylised oyster logo and incorporated marine colours. We wanted the logo to be relatively simple and bold as it was going to used across a wide variety of media, e.g. stationery, website, labels, ads, t-shirts, hats, banners, large signage, etc. It had to be versatile but consistent. Above can be seen a digital header, packing sticker, digital e-mail footer, business card and small ad.
Working for Mahu Oysters ticked a number of boxes for Halcyon – marine theme, oysters (YUM!), local business, and Andrew and Lisa are so nice to work with.2
The Mahurangi Oysters website to which we have just added a Paypal facility so that you can order your oysters and oyster knives, and have them delivered to you. Get along there now because they really are delicious – speaking from experience.
Lisa and Andrew have just completed a new shed in which they can process their oysters each day and also hold shucking classes (sign up on the website!) and oyster tastings. Once again, they have done a good job of implementing the logo and maintaining a versatile but consistent usage.
Nod and Lisa run the Shuckle Ferry out to their farm and introduce people to the joys of oysters, the beautiful Mahurangi Harbour and the pleasure of a floating feast. We have been involved from the beginning with naming and branding the Shuckle Ferry, and promoting the trips through media ads, flyers, website and social media.
Coming to a town near you soon! The new, mobile, Mahurangi Oyster Box. This is just a mock-up currently but Lisa is hoping to have the Oyster Box ready to go in the near future so that they can have a presence at farmer's markets, night markets and other special functions like Warkworth's Kowhai Festival.
